RECIPE COSTING SOFTWARE · FREE BETA

Update one ingredient price. Review every affected recipe quote.

Bake Quote keeps a shared ingredient list, saved recipes, and quote snapshots in a private workspace. It helps repeat bakers see how a package-price change affects cost-based quotes; it does not set a market price for you.

What the workspace does

  1. Record each purchased ingredient's package size, unit, and price once.
  2. Save recipes with amounts used, active labor time, packaging, other costs, and a target gross margin.
  3. When a supplier changes a package price or size, update the shared ingredient and review recalculated recipe quotes. Save a quote snapshot before a change when you need to compare the old inputs.

Recipes and snapshots save to your signed-in account. You can download a JSON backup and a plain-text customer quote draft. The draft needs your review before you send it to anyone.

ACTUAL WORKSPACE · SAMPLE DATA

See a package-price change

These screenshots come from the current workspace using a deliberately short sample recipe, not a complete cake recipe. A 2,000 g flour package changes from $5 to $9; 500 g of flour therefore changes from $1.25 to $2.25. With $20 labor, $2 packaging, and a 30% target gross margin, the displayed starting quote changes from $33.22 to $34.65. Add every ingredient and applicable cost before using a quote for a real order.

Who it fits

This workspace is for a baker who repeats cake, cookie, or cupcake orders and wants one place to maintain ingredient prices. The public recipe cost calculator suits a one-off batch; the workspace saves work for later. See how to review a supplier price rise for the calculation behind the example.

What it does not replace

Bake Quote is not inventory management, a point-of-sale system, bookkeeping software, tax calculation, or a customer order manager. It does not infer local demand, shipping, payment fees, or unexpected waste. Enter costs you want included and check the method and limits before quoting a buyer.

Try it during the free beta

The workspace currently takes no payment and does not ask for a card. The $29/year amount on the pricing page is a proposed future price, not a current charge. Sign in with a code sent to your email, then add a sample ingredient and recipe of your own.
