Alder Finch Inc operates Bake Quote. This page explains what the site stores.

Free calculations

The public calculator runs in your browser. Its ingredient amounts and prices are not sent to our server unless you choose to save data in an account workspace.

Account and saved recipes

When you request a sign-in code, we use your email address to send it. The code is stored as a hash and is valid for 10 minutes. Resend receives the recipient address and message content to deliver that email. After you verify the code, we store the email address and any ingredient and recipe data you save in the workspace. Your account data is accessible to your signed-in account; our service operators may need limited access for support and security.

Payments

If paid checkout is enabled, the external payment provider processes card details. This site does not store full card numbers. We store the resulting subscription status and provider subscription identifier to control access.

Usage measurement, cookies, and logs

To improve the free beta, we count calculator completions, saved recipes, ingredient repricing, quote snapshots, and whether a signed-in user returns. These event records contain an event name, time, optional tool name, a broad visit-source category, and signed-in account ID; they do not contain ingredient names, amounts, prices, search terms, referrer URLs, or customer details. We ask whether you have fulfilled a paid baking order to distinguish working bakers in aggregate results. The site uses a session cookie for sign-in and CSRF protection. Server logs may record technical request details needed for security and troubleshooting. We do not send recipe contents to a third-party analytics service in this build.

Your choices

Do not enter customer personal information into recipe names. The workspace lets you download a JSON backup of your saved recipes and quote snapshots. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing [email protected]. Clearing local browser data does not delete recipes saved in an account.
